You will follow ancient sheep paths rather than groomed walkways, ascending through untouched highlands where the silence feels earned. On clear days, the summit unveils a panorama that steals breath: Þórsmörk’s glacial valleys, the rugged expanse of Fjallabak, and the shimmering South Coast stretching toward the horizon.

Yet this is more than a hike. It is a pilgrimage through saga country. Þríhyrningur and the nearby Flosadalur valley are sacred ground in Njáls Saga, where Flosi Þórðarson gathered his men before the infamous burning of Bergþórshvoll.
