There is a moment, just before you step off the platform, when the world holds its breath. Then gravity takes over and you are soaring, a full kilometre of pure flight above one of Iceland’s most dramatic landscapes. This is the longest zipline in Iceland, and it belongs to you.

Your journey begins at the edge of Black Canyon, where ancient columnar basalt rises like the pipes of some vast geological organ and waterfalls tumble through volcanic rock worn smooth by centuries. Strapped into a specially designed harness that cradles you in comfort, you will glide high above this primordial terrain, the wind rushing past as the earth unfolds beneath you in textures of moss, stone and silver water.

The ride carries you across the canyon’s expanse, following the natural contours of this geothermal valley until you touch down gently beside the Reykjadalsá river, just steps from Reykjadalur Cafe. The entire experience takes approximately 55 minutes, allowing time to absorb the landscape before and after your flight.

This adventure welcomes the whole family, with riders aged 9 and above invited to experience the thrill. All safety equipment is provided, including a specialised harness and helmet designed for maximum security and comfort. No previous experience is necessary, only a willingness to let go and trust the sky.
