- Get a sense of the history of Iceland while eating something delicious
- The walk is good for getting oriented in the old Reykjavik city center
- Expert Fun Loving Local Guides so you can ask us anything

- We accommodate dietary restrictions & allergies such as gluten & lactose intolerance, vegetarians & more! However, keep in mind that traditional Icelandic food is meat, fish, and dairy. Please let us know when booking about any special needs.
This is a private food experience, so we can start anytime from 11 am – 7 pm, depending on the availability of our guides, and we recommend doing the tour during the weekends because then we visit the Reykjavik Flea Market. After all, there is an excellent food market there that's fun to stroll through. The flea market is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
STOPS ON OUR REYKJAVIK FOOD WALK?
If you’re a food lover, then a stroll around the old Reykjavik city center, sampling traditional food from Iceland, will be your kind of foodie adventure. You will learn what the Vikings ate and how Icelandic people have survived harsh winters thanks to our unique cooking and preserving methods. Then, how our cuisine evolved to the present day as young chefs do modern twists with special Icelandic ingredients.
Our Reykjavik Food Lovers Tour samples many different Icelandic dishes, traditional classics, and modern favorites. We know the best spot to get the famous Icelandic lamb soup (just like mamma makes it), The Icelandic lamb hot dog, Skyr (a type of yogurt), and a delicious Icelandic lobster soup that some say is the best in the world, but you will have to be the judge of that :). You can even try some fermented shark if you dare.
